Happy Full Moon! Tonight, we have a Full Moon in Taurus, and I’d like to share a channeled Full Moon breathing exercise that you can do anytime during the day or while sitting in meditation. Let’s begin! All you’ll need is your breath and your imagination for visualization.
Start by sitting comfortably and taking a few deep breaths, focusing on your solar plexus (the area in your upper stomach, just above your belly button).
Visualize a full moon in this center. With each inhale, see it expand; with each exhale, feel it contract. Take three deep breaths, focusing on this.
Now, add a cleansing intention: With each breath in, let the full moon grow larger, absorbing all negative energy from within you and your environment. As you exhale, release that energy, allowing the moon's white light to transform it into love, light, and wisdom.
Continue breathing this way, letting this technique draw out any pain or experiences that have hurt you. With each exhale, feel yourself becoming lighter and freer.
When you’re finished, take a moment to set an intention for the Full Moon’s energy to keep supporting you through the weekend. Remember, the energy of the Full Moon can be felt up to three days before and three days after its peak, so you have time to connect with its power. With each breath, let it gently carry away any pain, sorrow, or heaviness from the past, and with each exhale, feel yourself becoming lighter, more cleansed, and recharged.
Here are some additional Full Moon rituals to help you release and renew:
Releasing Ritual: Write a letter to the universe listing everything you wish to release—old habits, past pain, limiting beliefs. When you’re ready, safely burn the letter, asking the spirit of fire to help transmute these energies into peace and clarity.
Energy Cleansing with White Sage: Use white sage to cleanse your energy, as well as the energy in your home. Light the sage, allow it to smoke, and gently wave it around your body or space with the intention of clearing out any stagnant or negative energy.
Salt Bath or Shower: Sea salt is wonderful for cleansing your energy. For a bath, add a generous handful of sea salt to warm water, allowing it to dissolve as you soak. For a quick shower cleanse, dilute a tablespoon of sea salt in a glass of warm water and pour it over yourself, then wash as usual. Visualize any negative energy washing away.
Reiki Healing: This is a beautiful time to receive a Reiki healing session, either with a practitioner or through self-Reiki, to support emotional release and energetic balance.
Meditate Under the Full Moon: If possible, spend a few moments meditating under the Full Moon's light. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and feel the Moon’s energy replenishing and renewing you.
